Edward joined us at the beginning of 2025, having moved from Ireland via London in 2022. His connection to the region is strengthened by his wife’s roots in Hawera, South Taranaki.

After a successful 23-year career as a Senior Lecturer in higher education in the UK and Europe, Edward pursued a long-held ambition to practice law. His academic background is focused on marketing and business strategy, particularly facilitating innovation and change within the European Agritech industry.

Edward is particularly interested in alternative dispute resolution, especially mediation. He is an Associate Member of the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand (AMINZ) and is currently working towards is application to the Roll of Barristers and Solicitors of the High Court of New Zealand.

Beyond the legal realm, Edward is a keen observer of politics, both in his native Ireland and his adopted home of New Zealand. He enjoys staying active on the golf course and tennis court. While he supports Munster rugby first and foremost, he’s a newly converted supporter of the Taranaki Bulls and holds a season ticket.

Edward is dedicated to serving the Taranaki community. He is chairperson of the Irish Business Network of New Zealand Taranaki chapter and looks forward to assisting clients with their legal needs.
